Hi my fellow challenge participants!, These were both done using the Paper App for ipad again. It's so satisfying to be creating something and still be able to be in the same room with the family. Using the ipad means I don't have to juggle all my art supplies in my lap or cart them back and forth between rooms...even though I don't have a " tangible" original on a canvas, I still have a digital original that I can turn in to prints, cards or use in my jewelry! This first one I painted using my finger instead of a stylus. On all of my others I have used a special pressure sensitive stylus called the "Pogo" . She turned out better than I thought she would! It's harder to create small detail without the stylus, but still a lot of fun. If you have an ipad, give this a try, the App is free and the "in App" upgrades are inexpensive and well worth the extra dollar or two. If you are really serious about using the ipad for art I would recommend the "pogo" stylus as well!
This little alpaca I created with a friend in mind who owns an alpaca farm, Alpacas from Mars. At first he had teeth on both the top and bottom, until she told me that alpacas do not actually have teeth on top! Good to know! So here he is, the "revised" and anatomically correct (sort of) version. At any rate, I think he's a cutie!
Hope everyone is having fun! I sure am!
Love all your faces - they're so distinctive.

Okay, now I want an Ipad, whatever that is. I can barely answer my messages on my cell phone, but am a whiz at computer stuff and painting. So maybe I NEED an ipad. My daughter says I do. I absolutely love what you do with it, and I could not tell that you did it digitally. I want one for Christmas. Tell my daughter. Great faces!
ReplyDeleteYou will go crazy with all you can do with your art and the ipad. I am constantly amazed! Thank you for the nice comments!
DeleteYour faces are all so wonderful - You make me want to try drawing/painting on the ipad! (I'm a little bit intimidated by digital art... I don't even know where to start!)

Thank you Kristin! If you have an ipad, download the free app "Paper" by 53. It's such a cool and simple app, and you can do a lot with it! It's not hard to figure out, it's very intuitive, that's why I like it so much. I have never done much in the way of digital art with photoshop or tablets or anything, it's the ipad I got for Christmas in 2011 that got me started, and I really only started playing with it this Christmas when I got my stylus. Give it a Go! You'll be glad you did!
DeleteReally wonderful! Thank you for your visit! I truly appreciate your lovely comments! Thank you kindly! I Look forward to more of your art! :D Have a lovely weekend!

Your faces are so beautiful. I love the alpaca - brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've had a lot of fun with the "Alpaca Art" this last year. I have several others I've done in the last year for a friend of mine. They are so cute!
